Sonus is a sound installation built in the Old Library. It is an apparatus that translates light into sound and is comprised of an 8-channel speaker array and 8 AMBI light sensors.
When light touches a sensor, it creates a note in a corresponding speaker. The higher the luminosity of the light, the higher the reverb of the sound. Light is the composer, whether it is entering the space, or it is held in the palm of someones hand.
